The Challenge
Our customer needed a partner to quickly launch a full, 16 SKU launch, with three different packaging formats and several active ingredients. Fulfillment of the project’s goals required interaction with the client’s multiple PhDs, as well as adherence to the strictest pet-safety protocols. In addition, all raw materials had to be sourced from vendors that were certified as renewable and sustainable.
Our Solution
Before ever going to pilot, our team produced 10 to 15 individual samples for each SKU. This helped our customer choose alternative active, oil-soluble ingredients with the desired efficacy. In the end, we created the ideal emulsions to keep the active ingredients well distributed, and conducted extensive packaging tests to ensure freshness. We also conducted testing during the pilot phase to determine whether oxygen was being properly flushed.
The Results
Innovative labs produced and shipped 2.4 million units within 60 days while adhering to the strictest standards. Our customer’s requirements drove us to quickly expand capabilities with new equipment and processes. Within a 12-month period, we ultimately formulated and piloted 15 new products for a successful national launch.
