The Challenge
In March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic created an unprecedented, nearly overnight increases in demand for natural hand sanitizers and soap products, at a time when packaging materials were nearly impossible to source. Our customer needed a partner to help them meet their growing demand on a massive scale.
Our Solution
Our procurement team quickly identified alternative packaging solutions through our contacts in Asia and Europe, and then worked closely with the customer’s internal team to approve new formats and modify specs to achieve the requisite quality. We also added new shifts and implemented additional filling and finishing lines to keep pace with an ongoing surge in demand in more than 20 international markets.
The Results
We helped the customer quickly supply product to the market at a time when the product was difficult to find. This enabled the customer to achieve a year-over-year growth rate of nearly 40%—much of it attributed to tens of thousands of new customers purchasing the brand for the very first time.
